Lindsay Clancy Trial

Lindsay Clancy is a former Massachusetts labor and delivery nurse who strangled her three young children — Cora (5), Dawson (3), and Callan (8 months) — at their Duxbury home in January 2023, then attempted suicide, leaving herself paralyzed from the waist down. Plymouth County prosecutors charged her with three counts of first-degree murder, and she doesn't deny killing them but pleaded not guilty. Her defense, argued she was suffering from postpartum psychosis and bipolar disorder and was therefore not criminally responsible. The trial ended on September 4, 2026, when Judge William Sullivan declared a mistrial after the jury deadlocked over seven days of deliberation.
